I started programming when I was 13 or 14 to make a website for a team I played a FPS with online. I wanted a website to manage my members, matches, etc. so I started learning PHP and web design.
About Symfony2?
Nothing like it exists. It is pushing the limits of PHP and has some of the nicest PHP code I have ever seen. If you are a PHP developer that knows something about proper design and quality then you will like Symfony2.

I don’t use a full IDE, I just use Textmate and my favorite JS framework is jQuery. Though, I am not much of a frontend developer. I know just enough to get by.

My recent employment at http://shopopensky.com has inspired me to think more outside the box in the business world. Their is a lot of uncharted territory out there waiting for people to discover it.
What do you prefer (and why)? Freelance work or full time employment?
Full-time employment. I like to stay busy and not have to worry about freelancing and finding each job in order to be sure to pay the bills each month. With a full-time job I am guaranteed 40 hours a week for me to work.
What are your personal projects and goals for 2011?
In 2011 I’ve been working on helping finish up and release the new versions of Symfony2 and Doctrine2. I’ve also started a new side business named SociallyNotable that is built on the open source projects. In 2011 I hope to see Symfony2 and Doctrine2 change PHP for the better and for me to figure out new ways to monetize my software development skills.
